Should Children Be Invited To Your Wedding?
Having been to plenty of weddings as a photographer and as a guest, I’ve had the chance to experience events where child guests were in attendance, where children were part of the wedding ceremony and, of course, weddings where there were no children present. I love kids and would openly welcome the children of my guests to come to my wedding.
Alternatively though, I completely understand that there are many reasons for not inviting children to the day-of event. Reasons such as cost per guest or maybe the venue isn’t appropriate for kids. But what are the drawbacks of not bringing children? Should this be your choice as a bride/event planner or do you leave that up to the guests as parents? Do you just roll the dice and hope that the day goes smoothly or do you plan every detail?
Ultimately it is up to you to decide. It's your big day and you need to do what is best for you. But if you’re feeling undecided and are interested to read more on the subject I found some excellent and well-researched articles that might help inform your decision.
It might not be an easy choice but remember; your guests are your friends and family who want to share in making your day special.
